Longmoor Loco 2009

The 2009 season closed in the usual manor, with a team attending the Longmoor Loco held near Borbon on Monday 28th December.

Our team consisted of myself, Roger, Nigel, Moe, Amy and Amy's dad Kev.  This year the junction we always marshal was called junction 5, and I was also asked to be a sector marshal and to look after junction 1 to 5, I was given several extra marshals to help cover the sector, some of them were very good but there were also some who were a waste of space, I had to tell them to stop taking pictures, and they were so bad that in the afternoon I had to put Nigel with them to sort them out.  The stage layout was different this year, which made it even more fun than usual, the ground was quite slippery and in the afternoon we had several barriers and cones hit, we also had a car which knocked down a concrete bollard and then got lodged on top of it.  Although it was cold it was dry, unlike the previous event at Longcross, it was a very interesting day which was nice as this was Kev's first time marshalling.  Thanks to those who attended, and there is a message from the organisers and results to get to them click here
