As part of Volunteerings support of the 2012 games The Volunteer Centre Dorset is looking to train ‘Event Stewards’ and are therefore providing free training for up to 50 volunteers.
 

The next course will take place at The pavilion at Bridport Leisure Centre on Wednesday 25th November and Friday 4th December. This will now be initially a 2 day course covering spectator safety and event stewarding called 'Introductory Certificate in Event Stewarding'. The additional day will be to complete the full NVQ Level 2 Spectator Safety Qualification which will include Emergency First Aid will take place in early 2010, dates TBC.

Candidates will be required to complete several practical stewarding sessions followed by three further events at which they will be assessed for the final part of the qualification. As with the final day of the course these will take place later in the year/early 2010. Once again events/venues and timings will be confirmed.
 

Get fully funded/FREE training. 

Gain accredited Level 2 qualification (City & Guilds in Spectator’s Safety) at the end of the programme.

Support (including childcare) available to participants on the programme.

No experience required, as long as you are over 19 you can apply.
