When we set of for Colerne on the 11th July, I am sure we were all expecting to get very wet as the sky was full of dark clouds, but I am happy to say apart from a 10 minute shower it stayed dry, however the rain was just enough to get things sliding about.  We had an interesting sector which had many changes to the layout, however we were not alone in this sector, there was one guy who thought he would be safe to stand in a direct line with the cars as long as he held a barrier in front of him.  Just as we were leaving the event it started to rain, and when we had travelled about 5 miles down the road, the road was very wet with a lot of surface water, and looked like it had been raining most of the day, these conditions continued the rest of the way home, and it turned out that it had been raining there most of the day, so it seems we were very luck to have stayed dry.

On the Wednesday following the rally I returned home to find a parcel left by my flat door, upon opening the parcel I found it contained 4 litres of Mobil Supersyn oil, and a note saying I had won it in the marshals draw, then on Friday I received an email from Alec telling me that he had also been lucky in the marshals draw, he has won a ride with a professional rally driving instructor at Castle Combes rally day in September, well done Alec.

Below is some onboard footage from this years event.
