Fat Albert Stages

As with the recent event at Colerne, it looked as if we may have a wet day however once again the weather was very kind to us, with just one very light rain shower which only lasted for 2 or 3 minutes so we did not even need our waterproofs. unfortunately the event Chief Marshal was not so kind to us, and because of that it was a very quiet day.

When I arrived at sign on I introduced myself to the Chief Marshal, but although I had emailed him the weekend before the event, he did not have us on his list, I had to remind him that I had emailed him both at home and at work, only then did he remember that we were going.  We were given junction 23 which is the cross over bit in the centre of the airfield, but this was only used for 4 of the 8 stages, so we had nothing to do on stages 1, 2, 7 & 8, as we were effectively not marshalling on these stages, I allowed everyone to take there hi vis off and go to the near by junction and take pictures, so the day was a bit of a waste of time and I will be making sure that we are not going to get the same junction again next year, still it does mean there are quite a few pictures of the event, and I have added mine to the Picture Gallery, some of them are not bad and others are very good.  If anyone else sends me pictures I will add them to the gallery.

Although we have not received any communication from the organizers there are some results and an award list
