How the Group Operates
The event organisers will contact me, Tim Cooper, I am the Chief Marshal of our group, I will then contact you with details of the event, it is then up to you to decide if you wish to attend the event. No one is under any obligation to attend any particular event, you and you alone decide how many and which events you attend, the only thing I ask, is that you reply as soon as you can, letting me know your intentions, this is important as I have to let the event organisers know how many of our group will be attending their event.
If you decide to attend, you will receive details telling you where we intend to meet, most members like to meet up and travel to the event in convoy, especially if they haven't been to the venue before, others prefer to make their own way there and meet at the signing on point for the event, the choice is yours. Our group will be assigned an area to marshal, as a newcomer to the group, you (and anyone you have brought with you) will be posted with some of our experienced marshals, who will look after you, don't worry if you have never marshalled before, you will not be left to marshal on your own, until both you and I feel you are ready and able to do so.
